Definition of Appellate Jurisdiction



It is the power of command to review the case in the appellate court which includes amendment and overrule the earlier or said decisions within a trial court is known as appellate jurisdiction.

 


This is a legislative authority of the appellate court to act to review the case. Appellate jurisdiction is done only by the higher courts. These courts review the decisions of the lower courts which have given the power to give justice.

Any party has the right to go in appeal in the higher court and Supreme Court is the highest appellate court.
