Broker is a stock market agent that performs buying and selling transactions on behalf of the investors. It acts as an intermediary person who acts on behalf of the investor and on the other end it communicates with the securities exchange such as the New York Stock Exchange.

 


The brokers are qualified agents that have good knowledge about the securities and may provide insights about various types of securities. The brokers can act alone or in a firm that can handle clients’ investments and take investment decisions as requested by the investors. The brokers usually charge a per-transaction commission.
