Definition of Concurrent Jurisdiction

Concurrent jurisdiction means where the same law-suit has been bringing into two different courts i.e. State and Federal Court respectively.

These two courts have their same jurisdictions on the case.

For example, if a robber caught doing robbery from a grocery store, the court may find the robber convicted in the court for robbery in the State court and similarly, if the robber found convicted federally, he might be convicted with the same jurisdiction.

Therefore, concurrent jurisdictions are the same jurisdictions by two different courts.
