Definition of Delphi Technique

This is a systematic forecasting method where multiple questionnaires are sent to the group of experts in the relevant field of the problem. The group mediator receives the responses from each expert in the written form mostly through emails. Group mediator aggregates all the responses and shares the results with experts after each round.

Through this technique, questionnaires are shared multiple time until the problem is narrowed down, all responses are focused and one solution is agreed from all the experts. In this method, experts remain anonymous and free to give their opinion without any pressure from peers or group mediator.
