Definition of Exigent Circumstances



Exigent circumstances are the one that happens in an emergency situation which needs fast action to deal with the danger. This danger may be any danger to someone’s life or any other damage to the property.

 


Exigent circumstances are mostly used in criminal contexts. These type of circumstances were to arrest the offender/ convicted person, police enter to someone’s premises without the consent of the person convicted of any crime and usually they arrest without any warrant.

Such type of behaviors is known as exigent behaviors and this behavior when taking place known as exigent circumstances.
