Definition of First Degree Murder

Legally there are three degrees of murder.

  1. First-degree murder
  2. Second-degree murder
  3. Third-degree murder.

These are different degrees of murder. In this topic, we will discuss first-degree murder. The first degree is the lowest degree of murder when a person stalks someone and then plans to murder.

The first-degree murder is always premediated which means the act which is planned before doing. This is the most serious in homicide offences. First-degree murder is always done intentionally and it requires the killing of a person willfully which is already planned.
