Definition of Internal Customer



Internal customers are the employees who get the services from within the organization from other employees or department in order to execute their day to day tasks and duties. The internal customer is dependent on another person within an organization.

 


Example of Internal Customers:

The IT department in most companies serves the needs of the employees who need assistance in certain software that is necessary to perform their routine duties. The IT department would train the employees and assist them whenever they need assistance. These services provided by the IT department are not available to the general (external) customers.
