Definition of Juvenile Delinquent



Juvenile delinquent means committing crimes at a very young age. A person who involves in the commission of a crime is known as a juvenile delinquent. Hence juvenile delinquency occurs mostly in youngsters or teenagers.

 


It is the breakage of State laws given by the State to run the Country smoothly and efficiently. In most countries, teenagers under the age of eighteen (even if they commit a crime) will be held liable but will not be given charge of high treason such as life imprisonment or a death sentence.

Some examples of juvenile delinquent are as under:

  1. Children who bunk their school.
  2. Drinking alcohol.
  3. Underage drugs like smoking etc.
