Definition of Vicarious Learning

Vicarious learning concept is coined by Bandura in 1962 which states that apart from direct learning such as manuals, instructions, hand-on experience, etc. a person also learns by indirect learning such as hearing, watching videos, keen observations. We went to school to learn but in life outside of school, we learn by observing our parents, friends, siblings, etc.

We learn by watching them daily and try to pursue hobbies, interests, or skills that we learned by observing them which we never tried earlier.
