Definition of Web 2.0

Unlike Web 1.0 where websites are characterized by read-only activities. Web 2.0 moves us from read-only Internet and allows users to interact with the websites by sending information to the hosting servers in real-time. Web 2.0 allows users to communicate and generate user-based content in a virtual community.

Examples of Web 2.0:

Social media websites (Facebook, Instagram) blogs, wikis, video sharing websites (YouTube, daily motion), web hosting and development websites, etc.
