Definition of Aminoacyl Trna

There are about 45 different types of transfer RNA. One of them is aminoacyl-transfer RNA. It is such a tRNA with which the related amino acid is being bonded chemically. The aminoacyl tRNA takes the advantage of certain elongation factors and tends to deliver the attached amino acid to the ribosome on which the polypeptide chain is being produced during the process of translation.

The amino acid without the aminoacyl tRNA is unable to form the peptide bonds between the amino acids of the polypeptide chain. The aminoacyl tRNA synthetase is an enzyme that brings about the chemical bonding of the amino acid with the aminoacyl tRNA and it is highly specific for the amino acids.
