Definition of Indirect Cost



Indirect costs are those expense which is not directly related to the production of goods or services. These expenses are important for the organization to stay in the business market. These expenses included rental expenses, utilities, management, office supplies, etc.

 


The wages of the management, administration, support staff, or even salaries of directors are indirect costs. These costs are not easily calculated and sometimes also known as overhead costs.
