Definition of Statistical Hypothesis

An estimation of the population parameter is a statistical hypothesis. The estimations are vague, they can be true or false. A hypothesis is tested by statisticians using different procedures to check the validity of the hypothesis to accept or reject it. Based on observed data modeled it is tested using a random population sample.

Example of Statistical Hypothesis:

For instance, Let’s suppose if the population mean is equivalent to 10 then we consider this an example of a statistical hypothesis. A statistical analyst might experiment to test the validity of this hypothesis.
